Park Street Recreation Ground & Play Area

Over the past few years, the Parish Council has embarked on a phased installation, breathing new life into our play area with a design deeply rooted in our local history. The play area update is now complete, offering a unique and imaginative space for children to explore while connecting with the stories of our community.

Highlights of Our Play Area:

• Main Road & Inclusive Roundabout: Representing the iconic A5 and Park Street Roundabout. 

• The Plane in the Toddler Area: A nod to local aircraft manufacturer Handley Page. 

• The Bus: A well-loved play area favourite.  

• The Mound: Inspired by the old bunker in the car park. 

• Pirate Ship: A playful twist on the park’s name, The Rec.  

What’s Next?

We will be focusing on creating exciting provision for adults and teenagers.
