Salary: £19,698-£25,481 (SCP 6-19) + £626 Outer Fringe Allowance. 22 days annual leave plus 2 statutory days and Local Government Pension Scheme.
Status: Full Time, permanent, with annualised hours. The post-holder’s hours will work an average of 37 per week: 42 hours a week during April to September and 32 hours October to March each year. Occasional weekend and evening work, to be taken as Time off in Lieu (TOIL).
St Stephen Parish Council is looking for an experienced, energetic, enthusiastic, and self motivated Groundsperson to join our team, maintaining over 65 acres of sports pitches, green space, play equipment, meadow and woodland south of St Albans. You will carry out a wide range of maintenance duties, which include sports pitch preparation, grass cutting, litter picking, bin emptying, woodland management, property maintenance – working in all weathers and being flexible to carry out ad hoc requirements of the Council is key to this role.
The role is based from the Parish Centre in Bricket Wood, St Albans and covers the St Stephen Parish Council area including Chiswell Green and Park Street.
