Nominations are now open for the St Albans Mayor’s Pride Awards 2022, held to celebrate the extraordinary people and outstanding organisations making a positive contribution to the local community.
Community Champion of the Year
Cultural Innovation Award
Young Person of Distinction
Community Project of the Year
Community-Oriented Business of the Year.
Environmental Champion of the Year
Inclusive Communities Award
There will also be a special award for 2022 - The Frontline Worker Award for somebody who worked throughout the pandemic delivering essential services to the community.
Finally, St Albans mayor Cllr Edgar Hill, pictured above, will make a special Mayor’s Award to an organisation or individual he would like to personally recognise for outstanding work during his year as Mayor.

The deadline for nominations is 11.59pm on February 7. Nominations will be reviewed by a judging panel headed by the mayor and consisting of members of the community. All winners and runners up will be invited to a celebratory event at St Michael’s Manor Hotel on March 29 when the awards will be presented.
